COVID-19 Update - September 9th
It's been a while since our last update, so here are a few quick updates for you.

1- There is a major bike shortage, but you probably already know that.  Considering the scarcity of bikes, we strongly encourage you get a backorder in place at our store.  We realize this isn't the ideal way to do things, but until supply catches up (which will be quite some time) this will be the best way to ensure you get the bike you want.  And if you're shopping for the holidays, and you're looking at kids bikes, get one locked up before they're gone.

2-  If your bike needs service, we're still working on a reservation system and prefer you bring the bike in prior to making the reservation.  This will allow us to get things lined up for the reservation date should there be any special order parts needed for the bike.  When making a reservation, note that there is a $25 no-show fee if you miss your reservation without calling to reschedule.

3-  We're now allowing 6 guests in the store at a time with the same sanitizing protocols in place.  If your visit to our store can be made alone, it is greatly appreciated so that we can keep space available for other customers!

4-  Flow Master 4 registration is open!  Click here for details.

We greatly appreciate everyone's patience, understanding, and support as we work through these uncharted waters.

Stay safe and keep riding.

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan

COVID-19 Update - July 18th
We hope you've all been staying safe, sane, and cycling!  The demand level continues to be extremely high at AJBW.  That said, things are taking longer plus bikes and parts supply is limited.  We get shipments every week, so check in often if we're out of stock on a given item, or get a backorder in place.
If you're in need of service or repairs, call first.  We'll be taking on new service orders on August 3rd and expect to fill up the month in a few days.  That said, be here at 10am on Monday, August 3rd to get scheduled if time is of concern.  Feel free to call for scheduling, but know that in-person visits will take priority over phone calls, voicemails, and emails.
If you're in need of tire and tube repairs, we're working on same day or next day service.

We're continuing with a 5 guests max in the store, we're still asking everyone to sanitize their hands (sanitizer provided) upon entry, and we're asking that everyone respect each other's space.
If your visit to our store can be made alone, it is greatly appreciated!

We thank you again for your patience as we work through these unprecedented times.

Stay safe and keep riding!

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan

PS - FATS Flow Master 4 is coming Saturday, October 24.  Stay tuned for registration info.

COVID-19 Update - June 3rd
We know everything is taking longer, so we'd like to thank you all for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.  We're doing everything we can to serve your needs the best way possible, while not sacrificing quality. Here are a few quick updates to keep you in the loop.

-We're now allowing a total of 5 guests in the store and we're asking that everyone sanitize their hands (sanitizer provided) upon entry.

-We're extremely busy this season, so if you call the store and don't get an answer, please try again later.  If leaving a message is preferred, we're finding that an email is the best way to leave us messages, not voicemails.

-We're resuming our group rides.  We ask that everyone be mindful of those around you and be respectful of the situation at hand.  If you must spit or clear your nose please pull to the back and make sure no one is behind you prior to doing so.  We also ask that you give everyone a little more space when the group gets packed together.

-Our suppliers are doing everything they can to get product to us as quickly as possible, but everyone is struggling to keep up.  We realize this is a problem as the weather is great, so all we can do is ask that you be patient as they work to get caught up.  We have large backorders in place and are monitoring inventory at our suppliers daily in order to get the product you need.

Again, thank you all for the support and we look forward to riding with you soon!  Stay safe and be kind!

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan

COVID-19 Update - May 6th
Things are moving faster than ever, so here's a few quick updates on store operations.

-We are still limiting the store to 3 guests at a time and asking that everyone not touch merchandise without assistance.  We know this makes for a longer wait time, and we greatly appreciate your patience as we work to keep everyone safe.

-We are still suspending our group rides and events (Flow Master 4, October 24th, fingers crossed).  We hope to be able to ride with you all soon enough, but we're following the CDC's guidelines until further notice.

-Due to the sudden, and much higher than normal demand, we are unable to take on any new service until June 1st.  We know this is an inconvenience and wish we could do more.  Unfortunately, we are absolutely maxed out at this time and already fully booked through May.  If you're not able to get your bike in for service, don't forget we offer rentals!  Check out our rental fleet here.

-If you ordered an AJBW Hy-Dye Kit, there will be a significant delay due to COVID-19 and further manufacturing shut downs.  Unfortunately we do not know when the factories will resume operation, but once they do, they'll be on a 12 week turnaround time.  We apologize for this unforeseen delay and are happy to work with you should this be a problem.  If you didn't get a kit ordered, shoot us an email with your desired style/sizes and we'll see if there's quantities available from our order that is currently in the system.

-Be on the look out for an AJBW "Meet the Crew" project courtesy of Chris Walker and Asterisk Imaging.  It will be epic!

Again, thank you all for your support and patience as we work through things as best as possible.  Now wash your hands and go get some fresh air!

Sincerely,
Drew Jordan

COVID-19 Update - April 25th
It's been a little while since our last update, but we wanted to let you know we're still operating in the same fashion.  Despite more things opening up in GA & SC, we're staying our course in store operations until further notice.  We will also continue to suspend our weekly group rides and monthly events as well.
We are experiencing a much higher demand in the store than we ever anticipated.  That said, we appreciate everyone's patience.  Due to this higher demand and limited space, we can not take on any more service work until May 1st, which will put us booking for May 9th.  That said, please check back on May 1st regarding any service needs or to drop your bike off and get it in line.
In the meantime, we hope you're staying safe, and staying active!  We will get through this together!

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan

COVID-19 Update - April 3rd
While store operations have been modified, we are still open.  Bicycle stores were identified as "essential business" according to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA).  After reading the Govenor's Executive Orders from April 2nd, we are making one more change to our store operations (please read all previous COVID-19 updates below).  We will no longer allow customers to handle our credit card reader or sign credit card receipts.  AJBW staff will allow customers to insert the card and remove the card once approved.  All credit card companies and credit card agencies have approved this practice.

If you've read out updates below, you already know this but, we're going to mention it again anyway.  We're still enforcing a 3 guest maximum in the store, we ask for 6 feet of space between other guest and staff, and we ask that everyone not touch product without assistance.  We strongly encourage everyone to use our curbside service (just give us a call when you arrive) to drop off/pick up bikes or equipment and use our website to place online orders.  Again, free shipping on any order of $50 or more placed on andyjordans.com.  Many of our vendors are offering drop shipment options during this time allowing us to get things to you faster.  We're willing to do whatever is necessary to minimize your exposure and keep you and our staff safe!

Again, thank you for your patience and for respecting the situation at hand.  It's going to take all of us working together to get through this faster.  If you're sick or feel sick, or have been around anyone who has been sick, please stay at home, or call your doctor.  Everyone needs to stay as healthy as possible, all the time.  Now go wash your hands, don't make that unnecessary trip, cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough, and keep your distance.  Oh, and maybe squeeze an easy bike ride (please respect local park and trail closures, and give others 6 feet).

Thank you for your support during this trying time.

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan

COVID-19 Update - March 30th
We realize things are taking longer than usual at the store, but we feel the safety and well-being of everyone is crucial.  That said, we would like to thank all of you for your patience and understanding while we work through this together.

Here are a few updates, and reminders, regarding AJBW store operations:

-All official store rides and events have now been suspended until April 30th and will be re-evaluated at that time.
Unfortunately, due to the high level of uncertainty, this year's Lock to Lock Ride has been cancelled until further notice.  If you have already registered, you will receive a full refund.

-We have a 3 guest maximum in our store.  If you need to come in the store to shop, please come alone if at all possible.  If we're at capacity, we have a table and chairs outside, and an AJBW team member will let you know when you can come inside.

-Give everyone 6 feet of space please (including staff).

-Don't forget, we're offering curbside service.  Picking up an order, a bike that was serviced, a new bike you purchased?  Give us a call when you're in the parking lot and we'll get you taken care of over the phone and bring your items to your vehicle.  If you don't get through immediately, please keep trying as we're experiencing higher than normal call volume.

-Utilize our website and shop for your items online.  Just put a note in the order if you prefer home delivery and we'll have your items shipped right to your door at no charge ($50 minimum order).

-Please do not touch merchandise unless it is absolutely mandatory, or you are purchasing the item.

Again, we realize this is not the optimal way to conduct business, but we feel it is the only way at this time.  So thank you for your patience as we're doing everything possible to keep you rolling in the safest way possible.  We ask that you do the same and respect the situation at hand.  We're all in this together!

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan

COVID-19 Update - March 23rd
We would like to thank everyone for respecting the situation at hand and helping us keep everyone as safe as possible in our store.  As mentioned in previous updates, we're adapting to things as they come and modifying store operations as we see fit.  If you have not read our previous updates, we ask that you take the time do so now.
Here are a few changes that are effective immediately.

-We are now enforcing a 3 guest maximum in the store.  If we're at maximum capacity, we've got a table and two chairs outside for you to enjoy some fresh air while you wait for an AJBW staff member to assist you.

-Please be respectful of others and give everyone in the store 6 feet of space.

-We ask that you touch as little as possible in the store and ask AJBW staff for assistance handling product.  If you have children with you, please monitor their behavior and respond accordingly.

-Please utilize our curbside service for pick-up and call us at 706-724-2453 when you arrive at our store and we'll take it from there!  Given we're doing more phone and online service, if you don't reach us immediately, leave us a message and we'll get back to you asap.

We realize some of these measures may seem drastic, but given the current state of affairs, we feel they are necessary.  We greatly appreciate your patience as we're working hard to provide everyone with the safest environment possible, while keeping everyone happy, healthy, and riding their bikes!

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan

COVID-19 Update - March 19th
We greatly appreciate everyone's support and patience as we work through this very difficult time.  They don't make manuals for this, and everyone is learning as they go.

Some of the extra safety and health procedures we've implemented take more time to complete than one might imagine.  So if you're experiencing a delay, we apologize for the inconvenience.

We have now implemented a 10 person maximum occupancy in the building, which includes our staff.  If we're at capacity, we ask that you form a line and wait outside the building.  A staff member will let you know when it's clear to enter.   To keep space available, we ask that if you're visiting us with friends and family, that are not actively shopping, have them stay outside.

We strongly encourage you to use our website for free in-store pickup and curbside service.
You can also phone-in orders and we'll meet you outside when the order is ready.
If you're dropping a bike off for service, call ahead, we'll meet you outside to grab the bike, sanitize it, look it over, and call you back with an estimate, and a timeline on completion.
We are also temporarily offering free shipping on any order, excluding bicycles and bike racks, placed on our website.

And once again, if you are sick, if you feel sick, if you are just getting over a sickness, or if you've been around someone who is sick, we ask that you respect everyone involved, and wait to visit our store (or any establishment) until you are 100% clear and healthy.  If you're not sure, please consult with your doctor first.  Everyone needs to be as cautious and respectful to one another as possible.

One more reminder, WASH YOUR HANDS, KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF YOUR FACE, SNEEZE INTO A TISSUE OR THE INSIDE OF YOUR ELBOW, AND DISINFECT FREQUENTLY AND OFTEN!  If you see someone not taking these measures, please help educate them on this matter and how to practice good hygiene.  If someone makes an effort to educate you, please do not take it personally as these matters are not to be taken lightly.  We must be diligent in helping slow the spread of the coronavirus.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.  We're trying to proceed in the safest, most responsible manner.  We greatly appreciate you and everyone else doing the same.

We will get through this and we will be stronger after it's all over!  In the meantime, be kind to one another, be respectful of one another, be patient with one another, and wash your hands!

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan

COVID-19 Update - March 17th
As the current state of affairs evolves, we will be evolving as well.  That being said, if you didn't read our update from March 13th (below), please take a minute to do so now.

The safety of everyone within the AJBW family and community is of the utmost importance, so here are a few new updates.

-If you are sick, if you feel sick, if you are just getting over a sickness, or if you've been around someone who is sick, we ask that you respect everyone involved, and wait to visit our store (or any establishment) until you are 100% clear and healthy.  If you're not sure, please consult with your doctor first.  Feel free to shop with us online any time.

-In an effort to protect our staff, their families, and all of our riders, we will be putting all group rides and events on hold until April 1st.  Should you decide to go for a ride, please be conservative.  We encourage you to be smart about where you ride, when you ride, and how you ride.  Don't ride in a group, don't go 100%, and don't ride if you're feeling sick.  We can not afford to put any additional strain on the medical community at this difficult time.

-Due to the close quarters that our Body Geometry Fit procedures require, we will not be performing any fit services until April 1st.  Again, this if for the safety of everyone involved.  If you have fit services scheduled, we will be contacting you to re-schedule.

-We will be disinfecting bikes before and after test rides, as well as those bikes being brought in for service.

-We are offering free shipping on our website through April 1st.  We want you to be able to get the things you need, in a safe manner.  If you're making an effort to minimize your exposure to the elements, visit our website and shop online.
We also offer free in-store pick up everyday, if you need to grab and go.

-We are offering curbside drop-off for service.  Give us a call and let us know that you're on the way, we'll grab the bike, take it inside, go over the bike in its entirety, and call you with an estimate and time of completion.

-We always offer service reservations for $25.  Give us a call to discuss your service needs over the phone and make your reservation.  The reservation fee will be applied to the services performed.  Should you not show up for your reservation, the $25 becomes a cancellation fee.

As a reminder, WASH YOUR HANDS, KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF YOUR FACE, SNEEZE INTO A TISSUE OR THE INSIDE OF YOUR ELBOW, AND DISINFECT FREQUENTLY AND OFTEN!  If you see someone not taking these measures, please help educate them on this matter and how to practice good hygiene.  If someone makes an effort to educate you, please do not take it personally as these matters are not to be taken lightly.  We must be diligent in helping slow the spread of the coronavirus.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work through this difficult time.  We are doing everything possible to fulfill any time commitments and scheduling promises, but to keep a safe environment takes extra time.

If we all work together on this, things will get better for everyone, faster (kind of like how riding in a group is faster).  Please do your part and help slow the spread of coronavirus.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and please help us spread the word by sharing the link to this message.

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan

COVID-19 Update - March 13th
The health and safety of the AJBW community is our first priority. As the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact communities, we want to let you know what we're doing to help protect everyone who visits our store.

We are taking guidance from the CDC, which recommends regular cleaning as one of the most important preventive measures we can take. As you know, we take pride in our store and work hard to keep it clean regularly.  Given the situation at hand, our staff has increased the frequency and rigor of cleaning, taking extra care to disinfect high-touch surfaces like door knobs, bathroom surfaces, faucets, light switches, water fountains, seating, phones, and keyboards to name a few.  Furthermore, we have hand sanitizer available for you and for all of our staff to use while in our store.

When it comes to our group rides and events, if you're feeling ill or have any health concerns, we ask that you talk to your doctor first.  If you're sick or more susceptible to complications, please stay home, rest and recover so you can join us soon.

We're doing everything we can to keep our staff and their families, as well as you and your family, safe.  We encourage you to do the same.

This is a dynamic situation, and we will continue to respond appropriately as new information is made available.

If you choose to minimize your time in a retail setting, please remember that you can always shop on our website for home delivery or free in-store pickup.  We are here to serve your cycling needs in a way that is most comfortable to you.

In the meantime, we encourage you to take a break from social media and watching the news so you can go ride your bike and stay healthy.  Riding a bike can do wonders for you mentally and physically. Now go get some fresh air, get your blood moving, and clear your mind for a bit!

Thank you for your time and for your help keeping everyone healthy.

Sincerely,

Drew Jordan
